Alliance Jiu-jitsu South is the premier Alliance affiliation that maintains its competitive sport jiu-jitsu presence while preserving
the moral integrity of jiu-jitsu and character in our students. Our academy is partnered with the 5 time world champion Alliance Jiu-jitsu
team!!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a form of martial art that emphasizes the use of leverage and joint manipulation/submissions to counter the strength
of heavier opponents. This has been called the art for the "smaller fighter". A brief explanation of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be found
here.
As one of only a handful of certified IBJJF/USBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation/US Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) schools in the
southeast, Alliance Jiu-Jitsu South is the only martial arts school south of Atlanta that trains in traditional Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The
methodology of instruction and training regimen follow specific formats and is aligned with actual Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training one would find
in Brazil. The curriculum and criteria that we follow is based off of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and the Alliance system
of teaching. The Atlanta area is becoming the mecca of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Mixed Martial arts, Alliance Jiu-jitsu South is striving to place
itself as one of the top Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the Atlanta area.

The mission of Alliance Jiu-jitsu South is to develop the necessary skills for self-defense and survival while building self-esteem and creating
responsible individuals. Our goal is to give our students the tools that will push them beyond their limits and give them the confidence to excel
in life. Our system is designed for both the avid competitor and the traditional martial artist. We create an environment that is conducive to
both types of learners and strive ourselves on building a community of jiu-jitsu practitioners. If you have an ego and something you need to
prove to the rest of the world then we may not be the place for you (bad attitudes are unacceptable). We expect the highest standards of decency
for our students based off of the traditional values of respect for each other and their community regardless of winning or losing.
Our instructors have competed and medaled at the highest/lowest levels in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Submission Grappling World:
